Laboratories dealing with commercial testing are constantly processing large volumes of samples. Testers rush to register incoming samples, deal with testing and certification while simultaneously dealing with impatient clients demanding to know the status of each testing.

The task becomes more complicated when testing is handled manually creating extensive paper trail and intensive manual re-entry as sample is passed from tester to tester. By the time a sample is in the midst of testing, Laboratory Managers often finds it difficult to provide an immediate answer on location and status of the test sample.
